After installing Windows 10, I have a broken Windows Store install. There's an empty space where my icon should be in the task bar, and clicking it just yields a cryptic message saying that I should contact my sysadmin to reinstall the app.

All of the things I've read concentrate on running a store cleaner app, but that doesn't work because Windows honestly believes that there's no store app installed at all so they fail.

Some modern apps work fine mail, calendarbut I can't install any others, and attempting to do so says that I need to download the ms-windows-store app to continue. I've poked around in the registry from a known good install and compared them looks ok afaikand even tried copying over files that make up the store, but no go.

So, since I really don't want to do a full wipe on this machine just to get the store to work and I've read elsewhere that that may not even fix itis there a proper installer out there that resets the store? When th app was running I took a look in the SQLite database with a program that I didn't close when I uninstalled the app and re-run it from Visual Studio.

I think that Visual Studio couldn't overwrite the database as I was 'using' it. Previously installed app is locked and preventing VS to delete while deploying the application. Now rebuild and deploy your application. If it is still not working, double check if you have removed the below entry from appxmanifest file. Desktop" entry should be there in the file. The problem is that Visual Studio is not able to delete the application data in your local packages folder. The issue is that while your app is in development, it might have a random GUID as its Package Family Name, so the folder will also have that random GUID as its name which makes it hard to know which folder belongs to your app.

Again, that is easy to find as well. Right click your project in Visual Studio and click properties. Simply delete it and build your solution again and it will run like a charm. I got this when I tried to run the project from a ReFS filesystem.

If they re-register, they can then dial out but without audio like the other user. Any subsequent call attempts require them to re-register again. None of these issues are present when using a desk phone, 3CX on a cell phone or when using the web client. There were no issues at that time. Any thoughts?

Definitely sounds like a firewall problem. As Dave mentioned, we will need firewall details to be able to help. It is only this phone system and the phone using this internet connection and the phones are all on They are separated from the rest of the network which is on another subnet and uses a differenr gateway. The problem I have found out today from ISP is that the firewall being used for this connection cannot have port translation disabled and as 3cx requires static port mapping for port it won't work.

STUN should not really be used for this.
